It will be your and your children’s loss if you think letting things go on as they are now is the answer. There is a growing underclass (black, brown and white) that will either ruin us economically or tear the country apart. Poor education and a liberal philosophy that is destroying the foundation of our society needs to be countered. Retreating and isolation is at best a short term answer. The problem needs to be attacked head on. I didn’t say give money to anyone or any gift. That doesn’t work as the last 50+ years have shown. It just makes things worse. However investments in the foundations of education and opportunity is needed to stop this drift. With the investment responsibility must be demanded and true change must be wrought. It took over 50 years to get to this state and it will take years to change. If you think these people are incapable of change then you’re wrong and either you or your children will pay a high price.
It’s my kids life to choose when they are adults. My passing gift is to live on your terms or die trying. Life was far worse before today. If it goes back to that, the strong kids of today will be the leaders of the future.

Whatever it’s called it’s a drug. The tyranny of low expectations is poisonous to a soul and telling someone they aren’t good enough to do it on their own is defeating. They need to be taught and challenged and yes there will be a need to help. Incentives work and rewards spur accomplishment.
There are far too many who have built their lifestyle on free shit and handouts. Get knocked up as early and as often as possible to maximize their welfare checks and food stamps. Content to live in section 8 housing with big screen high def TVs with a full cable package. The government not only does nothing to change this, they encourage and promote it. And why not? When you have bought and paid for a soul you also own their vote.
True Dat, you get or meet expectations most of the time. Handouts getting more and more over the last 50 years still aren't working but have created a whole generations of people totally dependent on them. Throwing money at education hasn't helped either, it's just built a larger bureaucracy and top heavy salaries and pensions. Have to find a way to change some of that first. That is also a major area of installing the "not good enough victim mentality". It all starts at home and the disintegration of home life and church life hasn't helped. The ten commandments were not called the ten suggestions. We have to have some framework for society, regardless of religious beliefs.
