The most disgusting thing about this issue is, when it all came up a few years ago, after a few weeks of getting boo'd the NFLPA got together and came up with a protest that didn't involve kneeling during the Anthem; I think they knelt for 10 seconds or so after the Anthem. And Brees participated, he showed back then that his problem wasn't with the protest, it was the method. But even his teammates have forgotten that.
NFL put out a "I am George Floyd" PSA today; I think I saw Cam Jordan among the players appearing. I'd like to see just one of these sons-a-bitches take off the football jersey and put on a police uniform for one week, and then let's see how absolutely sure of their opinions they are.
I am now totally done with the NFL. Flirted with not watching during the hands up dont shoot lie but this does it for me. A player has to apologize to blacks because he thinks it's disrespectful to kneel during the anthem, are you freaking kidding me? It's sad that Brees did that. Hope the NFL fads away and these assholes destroy the sport that makes them wealthy. I am done
Drew made a minor unforced error, didn't read the room, but he'll be fine. This is how it's done: short, sweet, empathetic. Burrow is very good at media already. https://twitter.com/Joe_Burrow10/status/1266404689203146754?s=19
I am an asshole so I'll just say it. These people are not taught personal accountability. The mob will never blame itself. The sad part is parents aren't raising kids anymore. They are telling their kids its not their fault but the system. This is while mom and dad ignore their kids, sit on the couch, and watch tv and play on their phones rather than teach their kids. They send them to school for teachers to raise them. They send them to "activities" for coaches to raise them and send them to their room when they get home. Its this same mentality that, IMO, leads to socialism. Have the "state" take care of you. People are just lazy. Brees is too. He rather pull a France than defend his values. The entire narrative is false and no one with influence, in this space is willing to stand up.
There’s a lot of truth in what you say @LSUpride123. Now the first question is do you want to fix it or just bitch about it? If you want to fix it to you have the balls to do what is needed? To make the changes we need to invest in the poor and neglected parts of society that has been left behind and out. I’m not talking about the usual useless liberal palliatives that do nothing but buy votes. I’m talking about an investment to actually change things. Let me know and we’ll talk about it.
