This is only part of the problem. One side is demanding a "conversation", but if the other side doesn't say exactly what they want to hear, they twist it and corrupt it into something terrible. The other part of the problem is that someone like Drew Brees can spend almost 15 years being - not just "a" role model, but - THE Role Model for an entire city and with one 30 second comment get turned into the enemy by people with a misguided agenda. The most appalling thing to see is his teammates turning on him.
To me, this is the main (but not the only) reason why Black Lives Matter has no credibility. A black person is much more likely to be murdered by another black person instead of a cop. I wish I could recall the actual numbers, but its not even close. If they REALLY cared about black lives, wouldn't they would be working just as hard if not harder to get the murder rate down in their own community first before claiming there's systemic racism by every police department in America?
No demonstration or protest peaceful or violent is going to stop anybody from killing anybody else. If these people would get jobs instead of slinging dope on the street the murder rate would go way down.
In my experience, trying to persuade a black liberal that black on black crime is a bigger problem than cop on black crime is a non-starter. My theory is to get a black person to admit their biggest problem is other black people takes away their victimhood. If you're a victim, you can't be held responsible for your problems, so you really don't have to do anything to fix it.
we need legal drugs. then we wouldnt need to buy drugs from dudes who are carrying/exchanging a lot of cash in a ghetto, which causes violence
