I saw this a couple of days ago and thought it had already been posted. Obviously, this sux even though the defense has excelled without him. I'm not exactly sure what happened in practice, but just a few days ago, they were targeting his return for the game Sunday against Buffalo and now he's out for the year. Right now, the Saints are doing the right thing by keeping him on IR while he's rehabbing, but he's been riddled with injuries his whole career, so it's possible that they'll release him before next season.
