- Background checks are ridiculously lax in Texas. 50% of "legal" sales and transfers there occur without them.

- Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently tweeted that he was embarrassed his state trailed the more populous California in gun ownership, so promoted a drive to get more guns into the hands of more Texans more quickly.

- Ted Cruz just tweeted that he and Heidi are "fervently lifting up in prayer the victims and families of the horrific shooting in Uvalde".

- Some Republican jackasses will complain that "liberals can't wait to politicize this tragedy."

 

Yes their are sick people. If that school had an armed security gaurd or better yet armed teachers this could have been averted. Sick people and criminals will find a way to kill people. I say arm yourself because this country is getting scary and we have tied the hands of police so much it's dangerous. Lastly the border is wide open and not only gangs are coming in but terrorist. More of this will happen.
