I like it... only because we get the left-handed reliever in the deal. Of course baseball luck will make McCann get injured tomm probably.

thanks buddy. It helps a lot that long-time braves exec Dayton Moore is the guy in the hot-seat for the Royals, so if he gets 3 equal offers he will sell to the Braves to help his buddies out.
I guess this is the only time where you (John Schuerholz) like the fact and admit to having very close connections to the Royals.
this moore guy is pretty sharp. he is going to help this royals team as much as the ownership allows him. they have some super young talent much the same way the braves built their teams. unfortunately most of it is young hitting. hochevar will be special once he learns control. im counting on the royals to be pretty decent in the near future which is an upgrade for them. if moore hangs around that is.
So do you think this is a 'sell out the future for a chance at a title this year' move, or do you think there's enough in the Braves farm system to keep them afloat after next year?
Francoeur is 23, McCann about that age, Kelly Johnson 25, Renteria 31, etc... etc... I am not saying they don't need prospects, because that is dumb, but I think they have a lot of young guys to give them time to regroup.
