I don't understand why ya'll are using Rivals ranking to support the argument that Jhyrin is not as good as Brandon. My point is that Rivals is underrating him. I believe there are 2 reasons for this: poor grades, and not what Rivals currently considers ideal height for a WR.
People from Franklinton area have come on this board and said Jayreyn is the bigger better athlete of the two. Also, Dandy Don just updated his top prospects from Louisiana list and he has Jayryn listed higher.
I'm not saying I know how to spell his name, but if we can't spell it the same way twice, maybe we should just call him "JT".
I am from Franklinton and know the Taylor's. If anything Jhryn is a little better, but they are both better than what Curtis was a senior, but Curtis is 10x better than he was n highschool. When Curtis was offered I was amazed. The 2 brothers aren't as physical, but they are way more athletic.
I believe what CParso is trying to tell you people is that these recruiting services don't always get it right. Is that so hard to understand?
No, that is not so hard to understand. But please define "right." Certainly they all differ in some respects and assessments are to some extend subjective. But when the major recruiting services all agree on a prospect, that seems pretty significant. Is that so hard to understand?
I don't frankly care. But what I do know is that Cparso definitely doesn't agree with the assessment.
There isn't a real meaning to "right" here. It's all opinion. My opinion is just different from theirs. Have you seen any of his video? It's not "to some extent subjective". It is completely subjective. As far as I, and many people, are concerned, Rivals is the only rating service that is reliable. ESPN is notoriously horrible at their ratings. Do they still have Mauti as one of the top players in the country? Scout is decent & worthy of looking at, but I don't consider it reliable. Considering the number of prospects in the country, for all 3 services to be sleeping on a single one does not seem significant to me. I've never heard anyone admit this, but it seems to me that they all look at each others ratings & make sure their opinions aren't that different.
