    Why so serious?

I can see a team like the Lions taking a chance on him as a QB in hopes that he brings his passion to win, regardless how, to Detroit.

He certainly could get that big "bump" from the bowl game, much like Russell got when he heaved that 45 yard TD pass to LaFell off his back foot vs Notre Dame.

The only problem is it's not on a big stage. But I still think that if LaFell tears it up on the 31st, he probably will be gone.

One of the worst aspects of Lafell leaving would be the absence of his example and leadership for the new young talent that is coming in. Lafell has turned into a really great blocker, and his "dropsies" are largely an artifact of last season - he caught some nice balls this year.

I'd love to see him stay, have an All-SEC season, and spend some mentorship time with DeBose, and Bell, and Randle (I hope).

I think there are probably four or five WRs that would go before him, and I could be wrong but I think I heard it's not going to be a WR-heavy year for the draft. I'll guess he's a LATE first-day pick at best. Next season he'd be a top-fifteen pick.

i dont even think he will crack 1st round. i think teams are going to start looking for that steal at wr in the mid to late rounds. I think this season you are going to see alot of big uglys and defensive players in the first round. it isnt a draft class that is heavy with skill position talent. This year in the NFL goes to show that you dont have to take a running back early, and i think people are scared to take wr's early (thanks to detroit) because you can easily just pick a great one up in the mid or late rounds (marques colston) a trade or free agency. Crabtree will probably go around 13 or so, i.m.o. but i see lafell going in the 3rd round midway.

The grades they get are for the highest possible round they would be selected. Lafell will get a first round grade. Doesn't mean he will get selected there, but he is a #1 receiver down the road.

I'll go Lafell 2, Scott 3, Black 2. Lafell....where a WR is concerned, all the size, speed and route running skills in the world don't mean squat if you drop the ball when it gets there. He's been a little too inconsistent in the hands department to be a 1, IMO.
