he had a great year holding on to the ball, compared to last year. If he hangs on to all the balls he dropped last season he could have had a remarkable year last season as well. I know he dropped some this season, but not as many. And its not that he cant trust them not to throw the ball his way, but can they throw it accurately. Plus the possible salary cap and blah blah blah...... plus he blocks better in the run and screen game this season.
I don't think it's silliness at all. Jefferson gives our offense a chance to be very efficient next season. It's not his stats, from what little time he played, that I look at to make my case, it's how composed and charismatic he was considering the circumstances and how green he was. He gave our offense a spark and a blind man can see his upside. He'll only get better and that's a scary thought for opposing defenses.
Jefferson has the potential to be great. So does Lee. What seems silly to me is the idea that Jefferson's performance in two disappointing losses (against conference foes who LSU should have beaten) would be grounds for LaFell to bypass the draft. As if JJ had an amazing year and LaFell just had to stay to catch his passes next year.
Left tackle Ciron Black, receiver Brandon LaFell and running back Charles Scott — all juniors — have filed their paperwork seeking evaluation’s of their draft potential from the NFL. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/36369594.html?index=14&c=y
I think declaration for the draft is mid January so if someone is waiting to see if goes before committing, signing day is in February. He ends this year with a 100 yard game and he surely could be gone.
I seriusly doubt it. Maybe an H back. Probably won't be much of a player in the NFL. That's why I'm sure he will be back.
