http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=2&c=322132 From Tigerrag ... Brandis Dew is a player that Buff fans have wanted the CU staff to offer since first hearing about him and his interests in Colorado. They got their wish as he was extended an offer from the staff over the weekend. So where does Colorado stand with him now? Height: 6-5 Weight: 248 40 time: 4.71 Bench: 330 Squat: 400 Clean: 285 Vertical:'32 From: Hemet, California High School: Hemet "They are in a tie with LSU and UTEP," said Dew of Colorado. "It was awesome to get that offer. Colorado is a great school and my dad has a few close friends that live only about 30 minutes from Boulder so he is excited, too. "The Colorado coaches called and requested my senior film a couple of weeks ago. Coach Cabral told me that the whole staff sat down and watched it and decided offering me was a no-brainer. I talked to him on Saturday and he said that I would be getting it in the mail in the next couple days." Dew now has offers from LSU, CU, UTEP, and Duke. All are offering him a shot at being a quarterback. He is also a very good prospect at tight end or defensive end. At the USC two-day camp over the summer he was named the Co-top defensive lineman at the camp. Hemet just finished their season and Dew totalled 2,850 yards on the year with 42 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has been invited to play in the Cal-Florida Bowl along with fellow Californian QB's, Derek Shaw and Mark Sanchez. Dew is re-scheduling his LSU visit and will be tripping to Boulder the weekend of December 10th, instead. "I will be going to LSU either the weekend before or sometime in January." He may also take a trip to Colorado State. USC is still slightly in the picture. "Their coaches sent me a letter today. They invited me up for the Notre Dame game. I have not been hearing from them on the phone lately." Dew is fully qualified with a 3.5 core GPA and scored a 950 on his SAT. He would like to major in History or Sports Therapy. :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: :lsug: LSU has offered this kid and Tigerrag is free during turkeyweek every year .... bon appetite
Endless possibilities??? Dew you really think people are stupid enough to fall for such an easy set up?
Whoa, besides making fun of his name I just saw his videos. This kid is a real stud - he's got a huge arm and not bad feet for such a big guy. He rinds me of Kentucky's QB Lorenzen with more speed and running intuition. He is also very strong obviously, on his videos he breaks tackle after tackle - not just bump offs but head on, 2 on 1 tackles. Too bad he went to UTEP already. I prefer a drop back passer over a dual threat QB unless he has Vick-esque tools.
if people think he can play DE or TE he must be a pretty damn good athlete... LSU's trainers could whip him into shape..
