I agree. I thought his deal was going to be over a mil, maybe 1.5. Surprised by the number and don’t think it is protective enough. The only other thing I can think of is, if Rhule comes at him hard, Ensminger stepping down and Brady becoming OC sooner than they were targeting and getting a serious bump in pay at that point.
They aint paying him OC wages till he learns more from E. Don't know if you were one of the anti E guys here but the ones who were are simply wrong about what E has contributed to this years offense.

No, I was one of the few who was happy with going back to E after his original fill in stint, but I also am eyes wide open about the difference Brady has made. Whether you agree/admit or not, is irrelevant, teams are coming for him and we need to compete financially to keep him. Losing him would be more important than Burreaux moving on to NFL. Brady is the key long-term.

I don’t know if you realize but I’m agreeing with you about paying Brady. I’m saying the key to our future offensive success, and thus, NC hopes, are keeping Brady. I’m good with Brennan as QB, but he’ll be much better with Brady on board!
