Yeah, so I was watching Around the Horn and they discussed Brady getting fired. I replied to earlier threads talking about about John Brady, so I figured you guys would want to see this. Its alright if you move this post or whatever http://fandome.com/watch.php?vid=97768
those two are blabber-mouths who have no idea about anything, including basketball. they probably can't name 2 players on the entire roster and def couldn't name 30 cbb players outside of Duke, UCLA, UNC and Memphis's rosters.
Maybe they should start by getting their facts straight. Brady isn't coaching tomorrow. They have no idea what they're talking about. But I digress. That show is more about who makes a better argument than who speaks more facts.
Those coneheads don't have a clue. They are looking at one event that happened two years ago; not at his 10 year record or what has happened in the last two years. And they seem to be suggesting that Bertman has no right to fire anyone because this is his last year. Where did they get that principle from?
I was watching it live earlier today. I was screaming at the TV. "He isn't coaching tomorrow you idiots!" They sat there and shouted over each other trashing LSU over something that they got wrong. Also, all they ever say is "2 years ago led them to the final 4." They have no clue as to the whole JB tenure. I doubt if they sway anyone's opinions, but it was a cluster.
and they are talking about Brady's "superior talent" considering he didn't even WANT Tyrus Thomas and only signed him because someone back out of a scholly. and they didn't consider that the team could have reloaded in state with Tweedy Carter, DJ Augustin, Greg Monroe, but whiffed on all of them. ETC... ETC... ETC...
These shows that present "Yelling Heads", loud ticking clocks and a loud bull horn demonstrates where their priorities are. It's not reporting the news, it's sensationalizing the best stories in hopes of good ratings.
in basketball, there is no such thing as "rebuilding". Just ask Florida. They lost an entire roster and are still competing. UNC lost 90+% of its scoring after they won the title on 04. They made the dance the following year.
FWIW, Michael Wilbon, who I usually like, gave the same kind of "analysis" at the end of PTI about how Brady led the team to the FF 2 years ago, etc. My first thought was that neither of those guys knew the first thing about the current state or history of the program under Brady.
