To be honest, there haven't been many good QBs to come out of the SEC in a while. Eli and Peyton are the rare exception. Drew Brees went to Purdue, Matt Ryan went to Boston College, Donovan McNabb went to Syracuse, Big Ben went to Miami of Ohio, Phillip Rivers went to NC State, Tom Brady went to Michigan, Matt Cassell never started a game since high school, and Joe Flacco went to Delaware for goodness sake. I would be reluctant to take an SEC QB just because he plays tougher defenses.

Cutler, Russell, the Mannings, and Campbell, however, are all starters.

Now, defensive players? SEC would be my first pick.

Good points...makes you have to wonder why this is? I would think playing against NFL talent in the SEC would prepare a QB better than it has.

Oh, well. Apparantly talent is talent.

Good. Let UT sweat this one. We don't play the stoopsters so I am unconcerned.

Poor decision by Bradford, financially speaking.

He would have been drafted #1 overall most likely by the Lions.

    35 million plus guaranteed money.

He may pull a Leinhart and end up mid 1st round pick if his O-line can't protect him in 2009 (4 lineman are leaving for the draft from what I hear). This could potentially expose Bradford's shortcomings. We shall see.

Matt Stafford is one happy camper as we speak.

    Or is Mr. Crabtree? :hihi:

bradford is one accurate mofo and I think he made a bad financial decision here but a good life decision.

that is one feeble looking dude who is going to die in the nfl one day. Im assuming he just valued his life to live one extra year.

    hes not gonna last.

for the last time, its Leinart (li-nert), not lionheart.

It sure got a whole lot more enticing for the young lad.
