No. You only cherry pick un-important things mostly. 1st, you must rank the conferences. Why? because only 4 spots and you keep saying "power 5". They aren't equal. Second, you must look at current, aka finished, ranked wins. Debate it all you want, but its the most objective thing you can do. You refuse to do these two most basic steps. I dont know man. Tough shit. Bama is in. Maybe for sure because of WHO they are but fuck, they earned it.
Also, I am not impressed with FSU beating LSU and UF. UGA smoked UF more than FSU and Bama beat UGA. So slice that. LSU also beat UF worse than FSU. Go figure....
Question: how many of you "complained" about "power 5" when the SEC had 2 teams in the playoffs for a few of the years?
Reasonable for sure, but yea, he was in the running for the Heisman so no way they would leave that story out. ACC down this year also hurt.
I wouldn't even be surprised. my complaint is the reason that was given as to why Bama is in over FSU. and that reason is because we think that maybe FSU might lose because of the QB.not because they think Bama was better, not strength of schedule. nope. because FSU's quarterback is hurt. and that is a bullshit reason. no I don't, but I would have to throw out facts, and use my personal biases to come up with that answer. which for some reason you can't grasp would be me being "subjective" rather than the "objective" that you requested. ok, so even if Bama drops that pass against Auburn, they're in. got it. or we can use that thing that has been used for over 100 years and count losses. not sure why that doesn't get brought up until last. so did FSU. but their guy is hurt, so we're not counting those games. show me the year where they put in the extra SEC team with MORE losses than the Power 5 champ they beat out. because prior to this year, winning more games has always been the top criteria.
There never should have been a label of "Power 5" if there wasn't some level of equality. Football is supposed to be a team sport, and FSU stepped it up on defense to win out and go undefeated. Whatever happened to the saying "Defense wins championships!"? I seem to remember our 2003 defense having a lot to do with ours!
