do you know what the word "objective" means? it literally means using your opinion. so no, I cannot "OBJECTIVELY" tell you which conference is better than the other. I can absolutely tell you which one I THINK is better. but that would, by definition, be "subjectively"
Translation you have no idea. Correct because they are 13-0 and you dont mention them.... You arguments for FSU over Bama are more about fairness more than anything else. I've covered this. They beat OSU a few weeks ago who the media favored a lot and also have another top 10 CURRENT win in PSU. Michigan is the only team with 2 top 10 current ranked wins. FSU has only 2 current ranked wins and their best is LSU at 13. Bama has the most current ranked wins and their highest is UGA. Shall I continue?
Yes. Your opinion based on facts. Which I have outlined. Yes you can. Give it a try. I believe in you. Here, let me help you: In other worse, remove your anti Bama bias and try again. You could like, you know, developed a point system that took into account current ranked teams, wins, etcs. None of this would have to do with Bama paying refs or the media sucking off Saban.
you and I both know damn good and well that using Liberty is a stupid argument.the group of 5 has never been and will never be on equal footing to the Power 5. You and I also both know that an undefeated Power 5 team has never been left out. until now. if you use schedule strength, then Michigan should also be out. if you use who would win, then Washington and probably Texas would both be out. if you use games played, then Bama is out. there is literally no one set of criteria that gets us to these 4 teams. you honestly have to change your reasoning at each spot to cram these 4 into the playoffs. then my apologies, I have not seen that post. so 56th best SoS is enough to jump over the team with the most ranked wins of anyone in the country. but 61st isn't even good enough to get in
Can you rank the conferences without crying about it? Please do so. Here, I will start. SEC Pac12 Big10 Conference of Texas & Oklahoma ACC See, wasnt hard. If the ACC has some better teams, I am certain the results would be different, oh well. Life isnt fair.
What do you mean? Bama has more current ranked wins than anyone. They are more tested and play in the hardest conference with the most national championships and champions in the past 10 years. You are acting like Bama is a 3 loss team or some shit.
like the ACC having a winning record against the SEC? or does that fact not really count? ok, let's just use facts. Alabama played one Power 5 team (at home) out of conference. they lost. by 2 scores FSU played 2 Power 5 teams out of conference (neither game in their home stadium). and won both. but you're not using facts. you're using guesses about what might maybe happen if a hypothetical game got played at some point in the future. or I could use the fact that the ACC went 6-4 against the SEC this year with 3 of the SEC's 4 wins coming against ACC teams at or below .500 so I could say something: like Alabama with all of their starters healthy and playing needed a fluke miracle play to beat a 6-6 Auburn team. while the exact same week Florida had to use their 3rd string quarterback, but still beat a roughly equivalent Florida team by 2 scores?
I mean looking at the final score of football games that already happened. all of that would still be true if they hadn't completed that pass against Auburn. would you still have them in then? no I'm not, I'm using objective facts. undefeated Power 5 always teams get in. that is historical fact with 9 previous seasons of precedence. that leaves 1 spot that most would argue would have to come down to Texas or Alabama. those 2 teams just so happened to have played each other this year. Alabama did not win that game. so using OBJECTIVE data (not some subjectively derived who I think might be better), if we go by on field results, Alabama would be the odd team out.
The one and only reason Bama got in over FSU is because the QB is out and FSU is seen as inferior. That is the one and only reason. Test Question: If Jordan Travis was not injured for the rest of the year, would FSU be in the playoffs? Answer: Yes. All of the other conversations are fluff.
