I could have swore I sawMiles on the Oregon sideline in the second half when the started trying to run the clock out after the second half kickoff.
I agree. Exciting, yes; competitive, nah. Brought back a bad memory though. Sure everyone knows what I'm referring to. Just a hint- blowing a 21 point lead at half. When Oregon looked across the field and saw Miles on the sideline it the game didn't go into overtime. 40-27 baaabeeee.
I cannot stomach raw cabbage, either, but the cooked stuff is the worst-smelling stuff ever. And ditto the black-eyed peas--just another member of the beans extended family.
What? I just drank a couple of glasses of pinot grigio in anticipation of my winter break ending tomorrow, so maybe I'm just not understanding.
I like Cole slaw if it's made right. Growing up I didn't like cooked cabbage. My mother just boiled it with a little salt pork. I had it for New Years sauteed in bacon fat with crumbled bacon, onios and garlic with a package of dry ranch dressing mix on it. Very good. Didn't care for black eyed peas either but it you cook them the same way you cook red beans they can be pretty good.
I don't think I'm going to be convinced at this point. It probably won't entice @tirk to partake, either.
Love cooked cabbage, especially if they are in a roll with some tomato sauce and ground meat and other stuff, as for the black eyed peas, mix in a little mayo, fixes em right up.
Not hard to do in the first game of the year. Try it after losing 23 players that have started at some point this season, a QB that was responsible for 114 TD's (Who is last LSU QB to do that), HAVING to play 30 true or RS freshman players it adds up to a job Miles IN NO WAY would have been able to do. BTW, I have not seen the polls.........wonder what they will be..........again this year.
