I know this might be an unpopular view, but I don't think the officials are calling holding on anyone unless it is blatant and directly effects the play. I just haven't noticed many offensive holding calls this season.

In my view, LSU has MOSTLY deserved all the penalties they've gotten - and there have been a lot.

Aggressive teams seems to have lots of penalties. I'd just like to see the stupid, meaningless ones away from the play (personal fouls and illegal blocks) stop.

not true, we've been called for holding quite a bit more than our opponents. it is true that we have deserved most of our penalties (except for the early season late hits, etc.) but our opponents have deserved much more than they've received, esp when it comes to holding and personal fouls.

somebody else mentioned that they haven't watched too many other conferences' games but i'm sure we've all seen our fair share of big east games and aside from the connecticut call, the big east officials are bar none the best officials in the land.

and it pains me to say that.

a big question is who officiated the va tech game? that was about the best officiated game we've seen all year. my bet is that it was an acc crew.

That is precisely the way the SEC crews are trained.
