I don't really care where we play or who we play. I just want us to play the highest ranked team possible. I guess that means I'm hoping we end up in the Capital One Bowl vs #8 11-1 Michigan State. I don't really care about our past history with Texas A&M or any of that other stuff. :geaux:
Honestly, I would rather win. If we win, we finish in the top ten. Some say that does not matter, but I disagree. It looks good in the history books, but more importantly, it helps the rankings for next year. So I would rather play the team that we are most likely to beat. Who do we match up better with? Aggies or Mich St?
We match up better against the Aggies. We all saw last year what a better coached Big 10 team can do. Even though our personnel is better, we have always had that tendency to self-destruct. We beat ourselves- I'm torn on which Bowl we should go to...Ratings wise, Mich. St. would be better. We would jump up a few more spots with a W. Exposure wise, the Cotton Bowl would look to "showcase" us with all the FOX hype and having Friday Night all to ourselves. Plus our Texas Fanbase would pack the Jerry Dome.. We will be favored in both of these games- only a little- (-2 or -3??) But we could easily be upset, see Self-Destruct/
