He abandoned his brothers in the field to join the enemy. That is treason. Don't know how he didn't get jail time. In years past you would get 30 days for hitting an officer. It set a terrible precedent.

Where's the evidence that any soldier died looking for Bergdahl? Where's the evidence that Bergdahl JOINED the Taliban? The NY Times says that no direct link between any soldier's death and Bergdahl can be made.... that the details are murky. The Washington Post says that Bergdahl was CAPTURED by the Taliban. It defies logic that the Taliban would have tortured him for five years if he willingly joined them. Do you have better information than the NY Times or the Washington Post? Or the military judge who ruled today? As it stands, some of the myths around Bergdahl look like just more right wing bullshit.
