He has a few stipulations to his retirement. I think he deserves them. Asking to coach the bowl game and that FSU play in the state of Florida, I don't think is too much to ask for. Bobby take care and enjoy your retirement, you have been a remarkable coach and been part of the success that college football has enjoyed.:thumb:

I was never a big Bowden fan, but I can appreciate his accomplishments in college football. I hate seeing him forced out this way, regardless of my feelings that it was probably time for him to retire.

I hate the whole coach-in-waiting nonsense. Jimbo puts himself in a precarious position from day one. There will be those who loved Bowden and feel Jimbo pushed him out. Then, there will be those who don't want him because he's been a big part of that mediocre program for the past three years.

I still think Jimbo should've gone for the AU job last year.

don't you think it's odd that the 2 coach in waiting coaches are ex LSU coordinators?

Talk about. He will be the head coach of a team that has been decent at best, mediocre a majority of the time. And he had a hand in that. Also, everyone is going to want immediate results, and he will be in Bowden's shadow from the start.
He'll probably get three years unless he blows it in one. I don't see him there for the long term unless he starts by taking the ACC championship, or is in the running for it.
