I love the Crawtaters ! I had a discussion about boudin with one of the waiters at Camelia Grill in NOLA today. Hands down, IMHO, Rees St. Market (formerly Champagne's ) in Breaux Bridge.

Rees Street is good, no question, but Don's Country Mart in Carencro (the one by the old race track) is still the champ.

You can even please Cajun vegans with eggplant dirty rice. Actually, it's not half bad.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Best Stop in Scott, La.

Anytime someone talks about the best boudin, and claims it to be anything else but Best Stop, my husband makes sure they get a link of the good stuff. After trying it they are forever converted.

Glad to see CG is back and running!

It's all relative I guess. We have so many places around here and some swear by one place and others swear by another.

Funny story, when I was in college, I worked at Jimbo's Quick stop across from Lily's (Now Cowboy's night club) and people would come in and say so-and-so claims Abe's has the best boudin but this one is much better. They didn't know we bought ALL our boudin from Abe's. :hihi:

Owner kept it quiet but they were tasting the same boudin and saying one was much better.
