So you tell me what was all the looking to the side lines by jefferson to find out what the next play was, that took time plus you had a play down at the time you are making dam excuses you need to stop. That kicking team should have been in speed mode to the field. i bet if that was the case things wouldnt have looked so bad but a spike man give me break. Excuses, excuses , excuses.

I agree swac, That whole end of the game was a huge embarrassment. I'm really looking forward to it never happening again.

Watching another LSU coaching meltdown is not on my bucket list.

Hey swac, let me give you some help. Read this next sentence, assume it to be GOSPEL, and drop the "last second" business.

WE WERE NOT GOING TO GET ANOTHER PLAY OFF. THERE WAS 1 SECOND ON THE CLOCK AND NO TIMEOUTS. MR. REFEREE WAS GOING TO PUT THE BALL IN PLAY AND SIGNAL FOR THE CLOCK TO START. THE CLOCK STARTS AND WE DON'T GET THAT PLAY OFF. GAME OVER. IT'S JUST THE WAY THE GAME IS PLAYED NOW.

    GO AWAY!!!

Guys (and gals) it's time to move on to something else. I'm sick of rehashing this stuff. What's done is done. Miles made a major FUBAR and he owned up to it. Good enough for me.

Stop bashing our Head Coach. He's been here 5 years. He's won 50 games and lost what, 14? So, out of 64 gamedays he's had 50 good days and 14 bad ones. I'll take that.

How many bad days have you had? Too bad for us none of them were this bad or on National Television.

We have 1 more game + the bowl. You guys can continue to piss and moan, but I'm not. I'm not one of those whiney-but people.

I was talking with one of my customers who was complaining that 3 or 4 more seconds too many ticked off the clock in Oxford after the hail Mary was completed. He said they really should have put more time back on the clock.

I told him, Just imagine if everything was reversed...that LSU was winning by two in Tiger stadium and Ole Miss had just completed the long pass and had 1 second left with no time outs. Then the referee came out and said "After further review, please put four seconds back on the clock."

Blood would have been shed on the 5 yard line and souls would have been lost. Now that would be a youtube video no one would ever forget.

   .

I will not, so tell me, why was the ball snaped and spiked. I know how the game goes. There was a player down who had just made a first down and they stood there for awhile, jj looking for a decission from the side look at it again sense all that the field goal team could have been out there and dont patronize with you caps. You can try all you want it was poor time management irregardless. Now you go away.

Pay attention Swac. The "spike the ball" play at the end didn't count. THERE WAS NO TIME ON THE OFFICIAL CLOCK.

    Stay with me now...

The referee who keeps time (not the scoreboard on TV) had already signaled the ball in play and started his game clock. The play, although it appears that it happened, did not happen officially.

We would have had the same problem had we run the FG unit out.

Miles says it takes them 12 seconds to get the FG unit from the sideline to the field, lined up and into position.

No way we get a FG either.

i'll say this as simply as I can for you.

    the play call was:
    throw it into the endzone.

there was no intentions of ever being a next play. FG was not standing there waiting to bust ass onto field, because there was never supposed to be a next play.

the ball fell short. sh!t happens.

not an excuse, it is what happened.

double the p to spell snapped (that's probably a 4th grade course, so I'll let you slide for now).

and JJ didn't get that last snap off.
read the official play by play. it never happened, clock ticked to zero before the snap.

I'm not here to defend the guy who started the thread, but this is the kind of crap that really gets annoying. I can take the sunshine pumpers just as much as I can take the fire everyone now types.

If you don't like Bush, go to Russia or China; if you don't like Obama, go live in Australia, blah, blah. It's the same damn principle. Think about what you're saying before you say it.

Just because someone is critical of the coaching staff doesn't make them anti-LSU. Just because someone doesn't share the same point of view as you doesn't mean they aren't just as passionate.

But, see, here's the kicker - the same freedom he has to post the thread is the same freedom you have not to read it.
