If my coach doesn't want to win the SEC every year, I want a new coach. If LSU wins the SEC next year with coach Miles, I will be wrong about his ability and admit it publicly on this forum. Last I checked, the Tigers have 3 losses and the leader of the West division has none. That's not even remotely close to contending for a spot in the championship game. We are in the middle of the pack in the West. 3rd out of 6 teams and not close to the top. At least be accurate. I don't want Miles fired, I want him to learn how to coach football games against good football teams which is what we have in the SEC. That's what I want out of my football coach. And I want you exclamation point key to fall off of your keyboard.
Every coach from now on us going to be compared to Nick Saban, won't he? At least Ole Miss fans finally stopped talking about Tubberville. Wonder when Tiger nation let's go of the past?
Bottom line is that Miles is the coach, and will remain the head coach until he decides it's time to go. No AD is going to fire him with the numbers he produces. It will take a dismal (and by that I mean losing) season (where we lose more than we win, you know, like one we had about 10 or 11 years ago) to get him fired. Maybe even two of them back to back.
This And I wonder how many different threads can be opened as to why we should or why we shouldn't fire Miles. I think everyone gets the point. Some think Miles should go, and should have never come; others are a bit more rational, and are unhappy with some things that Miles has done, but know he isn't going anywhere as long as he keeps winning. Nor do they want him to. Miles, just like all coaches, isn't perfect, but he is just about perfect for LSU. What most need to realize is that the HC is only as good as his asst's. The past 2 seasons, CLM's asst's have been his down fall. He corrected it with the D, which is still improving, and he will correct it with the O. I would venture to say that if we still had Bo and Jimbo we would not be going thru the pains we are now. The 2 of them were not perfect by any means, but they (together) were better than we have had over the past 2 seasons. I have full confidence that Miles will have everything in place next season for us to make a serious run for the championships. Foot note: No I am not happy with the play this coaching staff has shown over the past 2 seasons, but I believe that once Miles gets the right asst's in place on both sides of the ball we will be an unstoppable force.
I've been saying this for days, nice to see others sharing this opinion and not just "Fire Miles!! Tar and Feather him!!!That'll teach him to lose!!!BLAHBLAH!!!::insert random angry comment::"
not sure we could be in Atlanta with Les but a couple of things at key moments went very bad do I think Nick is better at X's and O's - Yes would I perfer Nick over Les- No! Les has a good crazy side that Nick will never understand. Les needs a good X and O guy standing by him on the sidelines and I will feel like I have it all. I love what Nick did for us and I know Bama loves him right now. I love what Les has done and I looking forward to going 10-3 this year! Cliff :miles:

:helmet::crystal::helmet:Les Miles is a great coach in most ways except for clock management. He goofed as many great coaches have in the past. He has this team loaded with talent, and if Ryan P. would have settled down we might have made a run. So many of you sound like spoiled brats. The team, somewhat injured, played hard and lost to a very good team. Deal with it.:miles:
