Until a game is played, LSU is #1. For purposes of your poll, I voted for Ohio State because they are returning so many key personnel from last season. They really only have to get by USC and Wisconsin to be undefeated.

You're giving them too much credit.

You know...I want to say LSU more than anything. But I've got to try to be objective and my pick would be Mizzou. The returning players, the sked, and their success last year lead me to believe this will be a representative in Miami this year.

They play at Texas and, if they make the Conf. Championship game, probably OU. They'll lose both.

Texas doesn't impress me. I'd be more worried about TT than the longhorns if you asked me, and I have no logic behind that...just a feeling. Mizzou can hold their own against Oklahoma and if they win that game they are in.

Same here. Just a feeling, probably because Mizzou has been the 'Horns' bitch for about 50 years.

Mizzou is always a bridesmaid, never a bride. I don't think they'll make it, either. Of course, that's what I used to think about LSU, as well, and times have certainly changed.

It takes a couple of studs to start the march toward greatness. LSU snagged Kevin Faulk in the late 90's and he made things happen. The rest is history.

Mizzou has Daniel and Maclin, and I think they'll build from there.

Note: I'm not a Mizzou fan, I'm just impressed with their turnaround.

I think we need to clarify if the poll is on who you think is the #1 (the best current) team or who you think will finish #1 (schedule factors in).
