I wouldn't doubt it. It is well known that Boston is a pretty racist city despite being in one of the most liberal states. Not everyone in Boston graduated from Harvard. At one time signs posting job openings had the words "No Irish Need Apply."
Yeah kinda like the left is going back to slavery days. They should be careful the democrats were the party of slavery
Just a historical perspective. Now the some of the descendants of those Irish are some of the most bigoted people against other minorities, especially blacks. South Boston is hardly San Francisco East.
Red Sox and their fans have the worst track record in baseball regarding race. Their owner held out for 12 years after the integration of blacks in MLB. When they did finally sign black players, they were segregated in spring training. Jackie Robinson said that the owner is the most bigoted man in baseball. Their fans still drop the n bomb on opposing black players to this day.
Don't forget about fenway. Lots of white racists screaming obscenities at the black outfielders daily. Latino really but who's counting.
Starting to think Charlottesville was a set up. The Boston police allowed no weapons, were not told to stand down and to agressively intervene and look at the difference. Had the Charlottesville police been allowed to do what the Boston police were allowed to do the violence in Charlottesville may not have occurred at all or kept to a minimum. Why was the Charlottesville police not instructed to ban weapons and instructed to stand down? Hint; Terry McAuliffe is the governor.
