His were not set to kill people, either. But you reiterate my point. Yes, 50 years ago there was a left-wing anti-government movement, I said that. But today that movement has migrated to the far right. Kazinsky was neither left-wing, nor anti-government. He did not bomb government buildings, but targeted individuals involved in industrialism and technology which was his particular delusion. He is apparently an apolitical nut job and never a member of any left-wing group. His manifesto was highly critical of "leftists". Anarchy is a philosophy that has several definitions, the primary of which is "the political philosophy which holds the state to be immoral". Let us not cherry pick. I was clearly talking about anti-government anarchy as a philosophy, not simple insubordination and disorder. an·ar·chy 1. a state of society without government or law. 2. political and social disorder due to the absence of governmental control. 3. lack of obedience to an authority; insubordination. 4. confusion and disorder. Murder? The FBI bungled it, but it wasn't murder by any means. The "child" fired on federal agents. Weaver refused to surrender to the authorities for months. Fringe Christian, statutory rapist, and hoarder of illegal weaponry including grenades, don't forget that part.
I agreed with you on Koresh, just pointed out that he was not right wing. The ATF managed to kill 79 people including children. And while we are throwing out decades, the OK City and Atlanta bombings were almost 20 years ago, so obviously the right wingers have learned to be calm like the left wing bombers. The Weather Underground's last attributed bombing was in 1975 - 39 years ago and they killed a couple of policemen in 1981.
Are we really arguing over which radical group is worse by the amount of killing they have done? Does the winner of this contest somehow feel pride because their affiliated ideology has killed less? This is quite possible the stupidest argument I have ever read on a message board.
I think Courtney Love has spotted the plane. http://music.yahoo.com/news/courtne...issing-malaysian-201504477-rolling-stone.html
Agreed. A contest over the worst killer isn't a great discussion to have. Extremists suck regardless of their politics.
Then you don't read very much . It's a discussion amigo, not a contest, and it wasn't about killing, but anti-government movements. My point, which you missed, is that the anti-government agenda has shifted from left to right and that not all domestic terrorism is aimed at the government.
I think we are going to eventually see another shift back to left because today's democrats are yesterday's republicans, today's republicans are old south democrats from the 1800's.
The pendulum always swings. When it is a small swing across the middle, everything is fine. But these huge swings from extreme to extreme are very bad for the country.
And in late breaking news, Malaysian authorities revealed they still don't have a clue where the 777 is 10 days after it disappeared.
