Hield, tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and a first and 2nd rounder. So Davis and cousins sorta cancel each other out but I still like it.
@tirk I don't know....This immediately (should) makes the Pels the best rebounding team in the Assoc. The offense will continue to run through AD, but Boogie gives them a huge improvement for potential 2nd chance points. And AD obviously will have to give up some shots; so will Jrue. And it also, I would like to think, makes the Pels a much more attractive free agent destination. On the downside, you've got to get him re-signed beyond 2018 to make the trade worthwhile, and with Evans out of the picture, the emphasis on keeping Jrue beyond this year is that much greater. Hated giving up Hield as well. And Cousins has to get his attitude in check. The whole deal hinges on that, as well as the signing issues. If those things happen, I think the Pels just became a conference finals contender - next year, anyway. Still need some complimentary outside firepower to go any further.
And Sacramento wins as a 7 pt dog. Hield has a nice game 16 and 6 and hit a 3. Casspi the only other player the Pels got in the trade broke his finger and is out a month. He was the only player besides ad/dc to have double digits. Bad omen for this renaissance.
Casspi will miss the rest of the season. Pelican players who get hurt never come back when they're supposed to. Meanwhile, Eric Gordon is healthy for the first time since he was with the Clippers and has become a long-range assassin. And he directly attributes his success to a better conditioning program in Houston. I've been bitching about this aspect of the Pel organization for years; they have no clue as to how to keep players healthy.
Wasn't the same type of thing going on with the Saints in the Shockey days? Seems Loomis can't scout dr.'s either lol
