Not to mention Chavis getting his nice little pay bump at right around the same time after the UGA rumors.

Crowton and the offense got a nice chunk of change last season too. I don't know why, usually people don't get raises when they don't do their jobs, but this is Louisiana.

:geaux: Probably why Studrawa is still at LSU as well. Heard he had a hefty buyout clause in his contract that would have cost LSU dearly had they let him go after last season. Just sayin....... :LSU231:

You're telling me a freakin O-line coach makes that much money that we can't get rid of him? I'd can the brain trust in the AD who negotiated that contract in a heartbeat.

Are you sure that was last season? I remember Crowton and Stud getting raises after the '08 season, but I don't seem to remember that happening again after '09.

Well when you take into account new contracts for Billy Gonzales, Chavis, and Frank Wilson at that time you can see why LSU had some financial concerns. IF Stud would have taken the Memphis job it wouldn't have been an issue but I assume Stud wanted his money.

As for the raises they came early in 2009 if I remember correctly and I think during or right before the season started.

Miles won't be fired if he wins 9 games.

He can win 9 games for the next 5 years and he won't get fired.

    Which is too bad.

We could be mildy mediocre for the foreseeable future and nothing will change.

It was the end of the 08, before the 09 season. Residual bumps from the 07 BCSNC.

Logic? The past 2 seasons were not good enough for LSU fans. Logic says that underperforming expectations gets you fired eventually. So the only question now is how many years of underperforming will it take?

Considering that the LSU fan base never fully embraced Miles, Alleva did not hire Miles & is rumored to not have confidence in him - I'm betting 3.

When has it ever been good enough for the fans? The BoS, Chancellor, and AD measure fan support by ticket sales and TAF donations which have not dropped. Answer some of the questions I posed. What top coach is going to come here if 10 wins a season is not good enough? Who is guaranteed to come in here and do better than Les, because if Alleva replaces him with a coach who can't win 10 right off the bat, then he's gone, too.

Well, that very different than saying he's out this year if he doesn't win 10, isn't it.
