    Agree with these.

Saban envy is a terrible thing.

Want to make a small wager? You've been smokin' on 420 day, haven't you?

Nobody, nowhere fires a coach that averages 10 wins a season and has brought home SEC and BCS trophies.

We play in a very competitive league and we have the toughest schedule in the SEC this season.

Answer me this? Who are we going to get that guaranteed to do better? Who is going to leave a major program somewhere where he is successful to come to a school where 10 wins a season in the SEC isn't good enough?

    Who?

Are we going to hire a coach from Louisiana Tech, like Tennessee or a coach with a losing record, like Auburn? Give me a break.

    Frank Solich.

I don't think Miles will be fired though, i think LSU could lose 6 games this season and he wouldn't be fired. His record this season will determine when he goes on the hot seat in my opinion.

??? A guy with a 90-50 overall record, got fired at Nebraska, and is 32-31 currently at Ohio? Where he has posted two 4-win seasons in the last five years in a second-rate conference.[/QUOTE]What AD that wants to keep his job is going to fire a guy with Miles' record and hire a guy like Solich?

He hasn't posted a 10-win season in nine years yet he MUST come into LSU and start posting them immediately and post even more every year thereafter because LSU fires coaches that average a mere 10 wins a season. :insane:

    I don't see it.

Kinda an irrational post for Cparso. I think he is trying to stir the pot and see who jumps on board. Not saying there isn't a chance, just that this doesn't seem to follow the same type of logic that Cparso tends to use. I could be wrong, but I think he wants to see who is on board with this team and coaching staff, and who just wants to see Miles gone regardless.

oops, I think you missed his point. He was saying Solich got fired after averaging ten wins. Not entirely true though, it was 58 wins over 6 seasons.

Edit: What the heck is wrong with the quote function?

Well, he ought to defend himself and not be a hit-and-run poster on an inflammatory topic that we've all gotten just about sick of.

This is the off-season regulars posting now, with a few exceptions, mostly level-headed realists. The serious Miles-hating crazies won't return until our next loss.

I want to hear his logic for this remark, assuming he's serious.

Thank you red, I resemble that remark.(of course that's what they said about Herman Monster)

Not going to defend "the thread maker," particularly with his misuse of the color crimson, but Earle Bruce had an outstanding resume at Ohio St. (1979-1988)
9 -yrs Head coach, Played for Woody Hayes himself.
2nd best record in OS history (81 wins)
    8 - bowls , 4 - big 10 championships.
lost NC game by 1 point to USC.
5 - wins over Michigan. (last but not least)

I don't think you can just say "he has to win this many games" to many variables. How we win and lose games is important, also. Not just the record. What if we go 9-3 but it in the process one of the losses is because of a huge officiating mistake? What if it's obvious that we have made improvements on offense and defense, no mental coaching breakdowns, just bad bounces, injuries, and officiating?

Every year I hear the Miles haters saying that his wins are flukes and his losses are 100% his fault.

I see enough of that from those condesending, haughty, god's gift to football bama fans.

I'm staying on board as long as i can. :milesmic:
