I think everything is in like like it is supposed to be. Boise will get the 1st chance if Auburn or Oregon go down. Personally, I think it would be awesome if Ohio State matched up in the Rose Bowl. I think Boise would slaughter them.
Well, thank whatever deity you pray to, that we don't have to watch this little sister play for a national championship. And don't give me that, Nevada is a great team, bull crap. Boise is right where they belong, in the Humanitarian Bowl.
I like your comments on college football as a whole. Usually very fair and subjective. I guess some are going to be more inclined toward the little guy then others. I don't know if that is a reflection of their football culture growing up, but could be. So my team has always run with the big boys and had their fair share of success. Maybe it helps make me so adamant. I don't agree these teams are being fairly penalized for their schedule. Boise State and TCU were preseason top 5 teams. based on what? The same schedule that keeps them from being number one. These preseason polls are creating this mess. These teams in the past had great seasons and were fortunate to be in the top 25, at the end of it. Now if you can beat the New Mexico's of the world, say, 9 times that makes you a top 5 program, No. I'm a fair guy. Just give me a 16 team playoff. Otherwise the SEC and the Boise States of the world, aren't in the same Universe. They shouldn't be able to fluke their way to a NC.
Poor, poor Boise State, "we get no love from the media, so screw you guys, we are going to join the Mountain West. With teams like BYU, TCU, and Utah already there, we will have a legit shot at a national title if we handle our business." Utah gone to the Pac-10 BYU gone to Independent TCU gone to the Big East Boise State, now the best team in a crappy conference once again.
Well in all fairness the MWC did replace Utah and BYU with FSU and UNR. Not quite the same, but still better than the rest.
