Turned out to be a lot better than the 24-3 game it started out as, but it would have been a lot more exciting had Fresno actually taken the lead at any point. But it was cool seeing them narrow the game to 27-24 in the 3rd Q before Boise blew past them with a 17-point 4th Q. Final 51-34 Boise 85 total points scored Total Yards Fresno -- 508 Boise -- 481 989 total yards gained Fresno threw two interceptions, Boise zero Fresno's QB threw for a feeble 48.3% and 187 yards. But yeah, Fresno's Mathews had 233 yards rushing on 19 carries (12.3 YPC). He had zero receptions. For Boise: Jeremy Avery had... --187 rushing yards on 11 carries (16.9 YPC) --83 receiving yards on 5 catches D.J. Harper had... --107 rushing yards on 11 carries (9.7 YPC) He had zero receptions.
I only saw parts of the 1st half but I can say with confidence that Fresno needs to work on stopping kick returns.
both teams need serious safety help. once someone got past the line of scrimmage they were off to the races. must have been the same dudes on the kicking team. this was painful football/tepperesque. rb for fresno had 3 runs over 60 yds for tds--on dive plays. :dis::dis:
