Need to mention I really like Scott. And while their styles wont be different I think a youthful approach and more of a fondness for recruiting will improve the program. Knight was a hell of a coach and will be missed.

I never liked Bobby Knight's tactics. Can't argue about his knowlege of the game.

Apologies for mentioning ESPN here... :thumb:

If you get the chance, catch Sportscenter this morning...minute 39 in the broadcast. They go over "Bobby Knight moments." I enjoyed seeing it and remembering some of his antics.

It's tough to pick a favorite out with so many to choose from but I especially liked the time he referred to a situation as Mickey Mouse but quickly said he couldn't because it would reflect badly on MM.

Ya know Bobby is gonna probably keel over sooner then later. Never thought I would use the two names in the same sentence but Bobby Knight and Joe Paterno have been in kids heads coaching, mentoring, and smelling the dog stand for well over half their natural lives. Take that away and whatcha got? Something much different! Jo Pa should pass on the field of play befitting the field general he is. I honestly don't want to see Joe Pa not on the side lines. BK will be a hard act to follow.

I agree considering in the past 6-7 years, Brady has had more success than the General has.

During Bobby Knight's interview on ESPN last night he stated that he didn't consider his resignation a retirement and that he could coach again in the future.

Dont think he ever said he would possible coach again. He basically said he doesn't want to think of himself as retired. Many guys with strong personalities say that because of their egos and they think the word retirement means they are basically headed toward the grave.

He said I dont know what I am going to do in the future but he does plan on fishing and playing some golf.

Isn't that what Norm Chow said after he got tossed by the Titans? :hihi:
