Well, ****, if he could have played, he should have played. Another coaching failure.

No T-Bob was not hurt, in fact he was in the best condition he has been in all year, I know that for a fact and that comes as straight from the source as you can get. I don't need people to ask how, when or why if you don't want to believe me that is your choice but that is all I can say. T-BOB WAS HEALTHY FOR THE GAME, HE COULD HAVE PLAYED THAT WAS A COACHING DECISION THAT HE DID NOT.

Thanks for the clarification. Pisses me off more because there was no excuse for holding him out. Our O-line got blown up last night.

Bobby Hebert spoke for many fans, but it was the wrong place and time. He is a great fan, but he is a poor sports journalist.

he is a journalist, not a historian. It is his job to call that idiot to task about his bad decisions.

Sunnyjim - I call BS on that. When was the time and the place right? 3 months down the road? 6 months down the road? A year down the road? When was the time and place when no one cared anymore?

No I am sorry but Les Miles expects his players to be held accountable when they make mistakes, he needs to practice what he preaches. I am glad Bobby Hebert ripped him someone needed to and thankfully Hebert not only has the knowledge and insight to be able to question Miles "ex pro-bowl QB and father of a 5 year player" he is one of the fortunate ones that has the knowledge and insight along with the forum and podium to ask the tough questions.

Miles is the head of the program and he gets all the credit "National Coach of the Year" for our success, then as the head of the program when it miserably fails as it did last night then he gets the blame. He has an obligation to everyone who pays his salary "north of $3.5mil a year" to give a truthful explanation. Anyone "like myself" who buys game tickets, or donates alumni money or financially supports the program like myself deserves a truthful explanation. I might not like the explanation but we deserve one and if Les Miles is not giving one than he deserves to be questioned about it as tough as the questions might be.

I am sorry but IMO it was the only time and place let's get a truthful answer before one can be made up for us all to swallow. The only thing you have to fear is the truth if you have something to hide!!!!

Perhaps embarrassing Les in his first press conference after an emotional game was not the smartest move for Bobby. It only alienated the other media, made LSU look bad, and there was little hope Les would answer the question fully, anyway. He had other things to say. The post-game radio show threw him softballs, too.

But he should and certainly will get plenty of questions today and the entire off-season. You know that every interviewer will bring it up.

First off, Hebert is not a sports journalist, he is a commentator. I assume most of y'all here him on WWL throughout the week and on the Point After, after Saints games.

Secondly, the question needed to be asked. Les embarrassed himself, Bobby didn't embarrass him. I think people are more upset with the form rather than the substance. I didn't listen to Bobby on WWL last night. I can only imagine what that was like with his Jack and Coke. He'll be on WWL in a bit.

I have no problem with what he did. It needed to be done. Miles needed to squirm. Put a poll out on whether Miles prepared and/or coached well for this game, and it'll run 95-5 no.

And the truth is that he was probably also pissed that his son was left on the sideline while our O-line was getting blown up. He expressed probably what almost every fan felt as well as every LSU Dad. He gets a pass in my book. I'm not embarrassed. I am proud that we stand up and make our points without shrinking like a coward when the **** comes down.

I said media, he is certainly media.

That's probably the deal. He came off as a disgruntled fan and stage father instead of a media type at a media event. The moderator had to ask him if he had a question after he basically lectured Les.

I don't have a problem with it, although, Les Miles has never answered a question. He always dances around it, and he held true to form. So I think Red's point was, we all know that Les does this, Bobby had to have known he wouldn't get an answer, was the point to just embarrass Miles and make him look stupid because his son didn't play?
