You KNOW BH was sauced. I don't think the question necessarily came out right ( it was more of a statement than a question) but I'm willing to let it stand because no one seems to be willing to cut thru CLM's non answers and get a proper response. Someone needed to address it. Don't put a drunk coonass that knows football in the presser after a game like that if u don't want uncomfortable questions. I wonder if BH would have been in there if we had won. Doubt it. I think BH was on a mission to confront miles. The bourbon didn't help
I think Les Miles got what he deserved. If he and the offensive staff would have did their job that they are being paid top $ to do, he wouldnt have to worry about that happening. This man is getting paid millions and as far i'm concerned i think it would be in his job description to answer tough questions after an embarrassing offensive performance on the biggest stage when the team had 5-6 weeks to prepare. Also the BH asked a question that every single person watching the game wanted to know. Looking forward to next year and praying this performance doesnt affect recruiting!!!
bottom line is this when two teams of close to the same talent meet, its coaching that makes the diff. bobby knows this. Miles is a VERY good Coach, deserved coach of the yr. Great recruiter, great motivator, very good at hiring asistants, but GREAT at X's and O's well maybe sometimes but Saban got the edge there. Nick is just a better game day coach than Miles 90% of the time. look at it, our athletes making big plays got us out of the jamb alot this yr, not our offensive play calling. JJ isnt any stand out but neaither is the Bama QB. Miles has a great bag of tricks but when it is time to play ball for a whole series and figure out a REaLLY good defense, he sint stellar. And normally that is enough, unless you meet a team with almost as much talent, then well it shows. We have the edge with bama on talent but for game day signal calling there are several that are much better than Miles, at least 3-4 coaches in the SEc are better. Bama's OC beat ours. it didnt take much, our Def did all anyone could ask. I like Miles though, other than that he isnt an offensive genius at all. if it werent for Chavis Mile wouldnt have won coach of the year. he should buy Chavis a steak. I think in a round about way though les deserved it. for all his lack of X's and O's at times he is a good coach. He brings in the talent and that can get u out of alot of jambs. And bobby had every right to say what he said. Everyone was thinking it why not ask it?
And welcome back. You haven't been here in a while. It must be because we lost, and you can gripe about Miles.
Seeing how ill prepared they were, that was my first thought too, but I quickly came to my senses. Still makes you wonder though. T-Bob is no longer on the team. He can speak his mind now. I have been purposely avoiding the media for the last couple of days. Has Bobby commented on why T-Bob didn't play? One of the enduring qualities of Miles is that he (I thought) inspired loyalty in his players, who would run through a wall for him. But, how can you inspire loyalty when you stubbornly refuse to play the very players who have given everything they had to him and the program (Hebert, Lee, etc)?
No he sounded like many here, a shocked and confused fan that had just watched an embarrassment of a coaching job. Could he have been less passionate, yes. However he's not some yankee reporter that graduated from Ohio State. He's an LSU fan and LSU fans were very frustrated and pi$$ed off at the exact time that Bobby was grilling Miles. Miles did an outstanding job this year, but he should have to answer some tough questions after that performance. I wish more people with press passes had balls enough to ask the questions that most fans want answered instead of having a bunch of old farts ask the same ho hum soft ball questions that are asked after every game.
So fine. He asked a question (sort of). But that bs today on The Herd made me cuss to the point that I would've liked to call up Bobby and tell him if he thinks he's got the balls and knowledge, let's see his @$$ coach even a down of football. He was ridiculous and sounded like a raving fool. The Miles haters must've loved it.
Exactly, but most won't do it, especially the local beat writers, because they're scared of losing access. Alabama's coach has all the Bama beat writers terrified of him. Bobby's kid is no longer on the team, so he doesn't have to play it safe with Miles anymore. I know there's a certain protocol at post game press conferences, but I don't have a problem with anything Hebert did because he felt exactly like I and a large majority of the fan base did.
Well I'm a Miles supporter and hope he stays forever, but I call them like I see them and Miles failed miserably Monday night. The ONLY thing BH said on Coward that was inaccurate is that 80% would take Saban back over Miles. Other than that he was dead on.
