We all knew that being contenders was held together with mirrors and glue. Most of us drank the Kool Aid anyway but some fans guzzled a whole pitcher

Again, don't conflate Les's pros/cons with Alleva's behavior. Its not my intent to defend Les, but to wish he be treated with class by LSU. The question is "should the LSU admin have handled this behind closed doors, or should they have aired this all in the media like they have?"

If we want to play the "what if" game how about this: The Bama and Ark losses are on Les, but having all the coaches worried about their jobs and distracted for the Ole Miss game, is partly on Alleva. Watching a replay of the Ole Miss game, despite their flaws, LSU is snakebitten right now. A couple different bounces and they win that game. Is it out of the realm of possibility, that without Alleva distracting ALL the coaches, LSU beats Ole Miss, wins the Sugarbowl and is in the driver's seat for a NC next year and has the nations top recruiting class? Impossible?

Or "what if" LSU was unable to get a big name defensive coordinator last year because the big names knew there was a struggle between Alleva and Miles? You think some of the potential name DC candidates maybe called Chavis and got the scoop on what's really going on?

LSU has been more than classy with Miles over the past 11 yrs, giving him nearly $65M for doing less with more, shit I wish I could be shown that sort of class and love.
As for the distractions of the coaches worrying about their jobs point, maybe had they been a little more concerned with losing their jobs, and coached up these top 5 recruiting classes, there wouldn't be any worries of losing their jobs. Hmmm...

Man you got a lot going on in those brains of yours. What are your favorite conspiracy theories outside of sports.

Personally I like the little green men falling on Cali a few weeks ago when their space ship crashed.

I would've preferred to have this handled behind closed doors. The BoS crap makes us look like amateur hour. Problem for Alleva is if the AD doesn't make some unofficial, tacit acknowledgment of the problem after 2 blowouts, and especially after 3, the fan base reaction would look like a mushroom cloud centered on BR.
