If Alleva and the board are convinced the time is now to fire Miles they should hurry up and jump on finding the next coach. You need a big splash to try to save the recruiting class as best as possible.
Sorry buddy boy Mr. Anderson was right in serving notice to Miles. Miles if he were an honorable person, which he is not, would step down as he has taken our money and put a poor product on the field year after year. He has a "one and done" NC with a two loss season to show for all of the money he deposited in his bank account. Miles is pathetic not only on the field but off. Let's don't forget all of the player issues with drugs and arrests. How many player's lives has he ruined? Maybe Miles needs to be drug tested. It is agreed that Mr. Aleva needs to be shown the door as well.
So apparently Alleva was shopping for a coach at least one week ago. Given this is GG, likely the source for his info is also Ronald Anderson. We know Les caught wind of this and probably the team. And it was leaked to the media that is job is in jeopardy, so he was deliberately undermined by LSU admin while his team was still in the running for the Sugar Bowl. Disgraceful. If Alleva was going to go this route, he needed to do it in utmost secrecy with extreme discretion. http://www.theadvertiser.com/story/.../76164734/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin=
Now that we see Alleva's maneuvering, it casts last season's drama with Chavis in a new light. Cost LSU the Notre Dame game, as the defense clearly wasn't itself knowing Chavis was leaving. Chavis apparently loved Les, so this was between Alleva and Chavis. Remember it was over a clause in the contract about what would happen to Chavis if Les was fired. I'm starting to get the sense Alleva has been a real snake in the football program. Again, it may have time for Les to go, but Alleva seems to have been an underhanded snake in the grass.
