i think he's a gone pecan...some at nebraska think they should have hired him before the callahan fiasco.
I think there is simply too much to play out yet before any of these schools start to make offers. I'm thinking that there will be about 5 BCS conference jobs available: Definite: Michigan Texas AM Nebraska Possible: Georgia Tech Washington Arkansas Others?
I think the Bowden kid is in critical condition if Clemson loses to USC. That loss at home to BC was BRUTAL! And as I mention Bowden, I don't say this to be cruel, but how long will the old man, and Joe Pa, continue? Crikey, what are they gonna' do, follow Joe and Bobby around with a crash cart?
Sorry, but by then it will be too late to worry about the D. Say what you want but our D hasnt played well, they have stepped it up and made stops when need be. Still, against a team like W Va in the title game could turn ugly if we dont made much better adjustments. If Ole Miss can run like that imagine what they would do? Its a long time away, may not happen but its still becoming a big problem. Its not just on the coaching though, the players are coasting for the most part. I think we really miss C Pittman as the quick rusher. He was able to help free up Jackson, who hasnt gotten much penetration this year.
After this weekend we will all know more about what jobs are open. Arkansas, A & M, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Clemson, SMU, etc. At this moment both Baylor and Michigan are vacant, don't really know of any others but there are probably are one or two. How about Wyoming ? Talk radio in Memphis has mentioned Pelini as a possibiliy for Nebraska and Arkansas. Who knows. ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule: ldskule:
While I can understand how you can easily make the correlation from Schaeffer to White and say damn, we'd have massive problems, until LSU does anything aside from completely destroying a bowl opponent I'm going to stick with THAT correlation. Miles and crew, given a month+ to prepare and get players healthy, has so far rolled both bowl opponents bigtime. I like to think such a trend would continue. :geaux:
