Gotta wonder why the timing? I understand why Pelini might not have wanted to wait to talk to Nebraska. Most of us would do what we had to do if we had a chance to live our dream and double (details, anyone?) our salary at the same time. But I would imagine most of us would also do everything we could to protect the men we were leading and the program that got us the offer in the first place. I'm giving Pelini the benefit of the doubt and casting an evil eye on Osborne on the Cornholios. At least Michigan is hanging for another week.
I hate Michigan and Nebraska so much right now...They have been circling like voltures around LSU for a couple of weeks now...It will be very hard for me to believe that these distractions didn't cost our team a chance to win the NC...I don't blame Miles nor Pellini...Why couldn't these a-holes wait till our season was over??? These schools are arrogant and for some reason believe that they own College football...Rules need to be changed, if a school wants to mess with another school's coaches during the season, then they should give up at least 5 scholarships.
Then you'll have to hate LSU too cause we, and PLENTY of other schools are doing the exact same thing. Stop whinning- unfortunately, that's how it is in CFB today.
Good Morning Everyone. Time to WAKE UP! College Football is - wait for it - A BUSINESS! Yeah. Really. Look it up. Strong programs either do what it takes to hold onto their coaches or they prepare for the eventuality and recruit in kind. Life's not fair. I'm not Brad Pitt. Let's all deal with those two facts... :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic:
Businesses have to follow rules and bylaws don't they??? When a business doesn't followo the rules you get a - wait for it - ENRON! Hey if you wanted Pellini gone, that's fine...But you can't deny that all the rumors and circunstances affected how the team perfomed...And since you talkin about a - wait for - A BUSINESS! When do businesses or the markets struggle??? When there is a lot of speculation, rumors, and uncertainties.
BTW, what Nebraska and Michigan are doing it's called tampering...Pro Sports and businesses have rules against it.
What's your point? That LSU should somehow have a monopoly on it's coaches until the Bowl is over? Businesses DO have to follow LAWS (rules and bylaws are internal and informal, so non-binding in a court) and there's no LAW that governs this because it's UNENFORCABLE. Business is ALL speculation and uncertainty. You don't know what you're talking about.:thumb:
