Ok, I'm pretty sure this has been posted before, but for some reason, I'd never seen it before today. It's an interview with some of the players involved in the play (Randall, Henderson, Clayton, and a few others) discussing it from their perspective. Even if you've seen it, it's worth watching again...and again. :D

I've never been able to find this pic again, but it summed up the moment wonderfully. It was a newspaper photo that showed the stands on the opposite end zone from the Hail Mary TD. The fans at the bottom were ecstatic, rushing the field thinking they won, while those at the top who saw the play gasped in shock and horror.

Good analogy with the Billy Cannon run.

Most of you don't know this, but I was a personal chef for about 6 of the Hornets back then. The very next day, I had to go cook for Jamaal Magloire (a 7 foot all American from Kentucky). When I knocked on the door of his expensive apartment, I backed up about 10 feet....brandished my chef knife....smiled and humbly asked..."Any hard feelings about yesterday ???"

He laughed and said, "No, none at all !!"

Once inside, we had a good discussion about the role of luck in sports and he said that it's a big part of the game and it counts. He said it counted just the same as a lucky shot in basketball.

    Jamaal always treated me well.

It was good payback for that basketball comeback they had against us in the 90's. that shit had me sick for years. But they got the last laugh in 07.

I remember that. I was married to my first wife at the time and watching it on a shitty TV in an Apt in Junction City, Kansas. Damn I was pissed off at that game.

Thanks @fanatic for posting that, I had not ever seen it before. Awesome.

I got a pic of me and Magloire at a media day just before the 2003 season. Makes me look like a midget.
