2010 College Football Predictions: Ranking SEC's Starting Quarterbacks | Bleacher Report Very, Very surprising to see Jordan Jefferson where he is on this list. Take it with many grains of salt, the Bleacher Report isn't exactly the most credible source.
wow... what a terrible list.... masoli the 2nd best QB in the conference when who knows how long before he starts? Mallet the best QB in the country? Jake Locker anyone? he might be the best "pro prospect based on measurables alone" though he says Jefferson can be the best QB in that nation if he wants to be? wow thats an interesting statement..... what has he shown so far for that to cross his mind? I mean you had people wanting to give the job to JL last year because of Jefferson's struggles he had at times. I could see those comments being made when Jamarcus was here, he showed enormous upside, but i just dont see the upside being quite so high with jefferson Don't get me wrong, im not one to bash Jefferson, i hope he does great and im pulling for him to finally master the offense. I believe he has all the physical tools to lead the team to an sec championship and maybe even further, but it remains to be seen if he can get past the mental aspect of the game, he is just trying too hard and you can tell he just isnt comfortable out there.
Turns out, "they" is a Bama fan. BUT, that doesn't lend anymore credence to it than if I wrote it. It's the Bleacher Report. He picked LSU to not only win the West, but beat Bama in doing so. He also thinks Patrick "Patterson" is great. :rolleye33:
who above him on the list deserves to be above him other than McElroy? I really don't get the lack of love for this kid. Bad is Jarrett Lee and 20+ INTs. Jefferson had 17 TDs and 7 INTs. I'd take that any day of the week. Can't blame a bad offensive line on the QB.
I think a lot of it has to do with many people sitting through the previous season and wanting an immediate fix. Plus, JJ showed great promise in the bowl game against Georgia Tech, and I think that played into people's minds. While his stats are definately not great, they're not bad either. He has his faults, but many of them can be ironed out, and I think will be more receptive of him if he does the same, but the running game improves and the offense puts up better stats as a whole.
JJ had like 140 yds passing in the Peach against GT, and one exciting run. Other than that, it was just OK. However, LSU fans, this one included, blew that performance out of proportion, mainly due to what we had to watch/endure all season in 2008.
