He'll fit in well with a pick and pop type of team. If he is allowed to be a four that hangs around fifteen feet he should be able to be a consistent 12 and 8 type of guy. Hansbrough wont make All-Star teams but give him Udonis Haslem's role and he will do well. I think he will be a great guard especially if he goes to a team that just asks him to distribute the rock - and he can look for his shot when he wants to but he does not have to be a scorer immediately. If he is put into a situation where they ask him to be an O.J. Mayo type of guy he will struggle.
Lawson got to the top in college on pure speed. That's it. Pure speed. He's not a great shooter. He's not a great passer. He's not the best ball handler in the world. It was all pure speed. In the NBA, he won't be the fastest anymore and he will be 5'11 the rest of his life. With that being said, I think he will be a solid pro. But he will not be a Deron Williams or a Chris Paul. He will more likely shadow the last UNC PG Raymond Felton and be that consistent 14 and 6 guy in the NBA. And TB hit it on the head about Hansborough. He will last in the league just because he is willing to do things that the average, everyday millionaire post player won't be willing to do. His hustle will keep him on the floor and will make him a 10 and 8 guy as a 2nd big on a team.
Two words: Mark Madsen. ok, probably not that bad. I like TB3's analysis. Give him a Udonis Haslem role and he'll be a good roll player.
