Huge NC drug bust. Hey Toto, we're not in Oregon any more. https://abc11.com/drug-ring-fraternity-unc-duke/8845768/ App State caught up in this too. One news site in Charlotte headlines read App State Fraternity.... Then you read and it's one guy from App State and he was in a fraternity. The rest are from UNC and Duke. The bulk coming from three fraternities at UNC. Tied to Mexican cartels.
No sexual assault scandels? Yall aint tryin hard enough baw. Fav part is supplier gets 6yrs but the dealers get 10-15 years.
And the end user may get life in some states with 3 strikes and you’re out laws for “career criminals”
We had a case of morning after rape a few years ago. Actually a girl "took a train ride" with some football players, supposedly willingly. Her boyfriend found out and went berserk and suddenly it was rape. Keep in mind, none of this is confirmed. The three players were kicked out of school. Two sued their way back in. Finding out more today. Two out of 21 arrests were at App State. One or two at Duke an the rest at UNC Chapel Hill. Funny a lot of the media lead with App State though. Can't sully the state flagship....
Very knowledgeable Yep, Only school of journalism in the state. We have communications department that puts out a fair amount of TV people (technical folks and talking heads) but they have the "journalists". They also had the only law and medical school at a state university for about 125 years. That's part of the reason privates Duke and Wake Forest programs got so big. (flush) Dook and Weak Forrest also have divinity schools and turn out a lot of Baptist (WF)and Methodist (D) preachers.
Pretty funny and the real story behind the plunger at Georgia Southern. https://journalnow.com/sports/colle...cle_9a955956-4165-11eb-a887-3726aa5935e5.html Excerpts “People will say ‘Buckle up’ or ‘Bow your backs’ or something like that. He says ‘Get the plunger,’ like it’s about to be a long night,” senior defensive lineman Demetrius Taylor said with a laugh. Let Earle explain why that’s become a go-to mantra in his college football life. “The whole point of the metaphor is a run stopper," Earle said. "You’ve got to plunge something and stuff something. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, and sometimes it gets nasty while you do it, and that’s where the plumber comes in at."
bite me 2020 A man takes his seat at an App State game. He looks to his left and notices that there is a spare seat between himself and the next guy. The man: “Who would ever miss an App game?” The guy: “That was my wife’s seat. We went to all the games together for 15 seasons, but sadly she passed away.” The man: “That’s terrible, but couldn’t you get another member of the family, friend, or someone else to come with you?” The guy: “No…they are all at the funeral!”
