What is going on here....This judge was appointed by Reagan. I salute you judge Korman for not letting politics and religion get in the way of common sense.

Explain how this is common sense?

The dude straight up mentions 10 year olds.

Not sure why letting your 10 year old daughter buy a morning after pill relates to common sense.

No, I am down with making sure my 10 year old would never need to buy one.

I agree Kyle, but would you agree that it does happen? Maybe not in your family or mine, but underage pregnancy happens all the time.

Yes. It does. And it has skyrocketed since the mass marketing of contraceptives began in the late 1950s. Since the pill came into our culture teen pregnancy, single parenthood, abortion, and divorce have all grown exponentially. I wonder if any of those things are related.

I could go all Wayne LaPierre and blame Hollywood, but couldn't this be explained away with the rise in population? Lets look at it from another angle, most in here champion spending cuts for entitlements, wouldn't less children born into poverty and becoming part of the "system" aid in the long run?

People are going to fuck. It's human nature.

I haven't heard of any 10 year olds willingly having sex. That said, I'm sure it does happen, and I'm sure if it were my child, I would want to be involved in how that situation was handled. The 10 year old would have already demonstrated her lack of mature decision making skills.

Letting underage kids buy this type of medication is taking parents out of the loop of caring for their children.

If your child is caught shoplifting (I know it is illegal and sex between 2 minors is not). Don't you think the parent should be called? If so, why? Because the parent is responsible for the child and the child's actions. Not a perfect parallel, but I am tired and I'm sure you get my point.

Percentages equalize for changes in population. The incidence of teen pregnancy is way up as a percentage of population than before the pill was amply available. Since contraceptive use has expanded more children are born into poverty, into single parent homes, and to ill equipped mothers, and more babies are aborted. Doesn't that all seem extremely counter-intuitive? How could it possibly be that the number of abortions performed increased as pill use became more common?
