Billy Gonzales to Illinois as OC

Good luck coach. Not sure how I feel about him leaving, never really sure of what he brought to the table here.

 

It's the right move for both him and LSU. He was a passing game coordinator for a team where it was virtually nonexistent. We need a top notch receivers coach, and badly.

 

Last TCU OC lasted one year in that job, of course they fired the HC this time too.

 

Here are some possibilities for replacements. Larry Porter seems to be a good fit but that would mean moving Frank Wilson to receivers.

I think that would be a win win situation if frank wilson was willing to move to recievers coach, we just cannot afford to loose frank wilson.

 

I'm with you 100% Larry Porter was one of our best recruiters and our running backs peformed pretty good under him.

I don't see Gonzales as a big loss. Wasn't impressed with WR development and he wasn't one of our top recruiters. Passing game coordinator....pffffft!
