Clear? concise? direct?....Miles???? See what happens when you take your meds !!!:hihi:. (Maybe Gonzales is on the meds and they make everything seem concise and clear)
I have always said that about Miles but you won't see it on interviews where coach speak is involved and Bertman knew this when he was 1st hired. Every player I have talked to or guys who worked under Miles all have said you never are guessing what Miles wants and when he wants it done.
After we beat Penn State we should finish in the top ten... just barely. Hmmm... if we had an offense ranked in the top thirty instead of freaken 108th just think where we might be playing in January. Now for the good news.. I just watched the interview with Gonzales. I like the swagger and confidence he brings. Probably the result of so many winning years with Meyers at Fla. and Utah. I think he left Meyers because of the opportunity he didn't get for the OC job there and could be in his future here. What I think happens is that Gonzales takes over a good part of the passing offense and while he says that he's here to work under Crowton, he is going to do whatever he needs to do to show Miles that he can run an offense. Still think LM should have run off Crowton after the sorry excuse for an offense we had. I expect to see some new things in the Cap. One due to Gonzales being onboard.
I'm sure you're correct. I wish he was direct and concise with the press too. He seems almost incoherent before the press at times. He makes more sense to me when I'M on lithium .
McCarthy was a good to great recruiter but that was about it. He was ok at motivation too but Stud took more of that role when he came in.
where, where, where, asks Tiger Woods (I saw this joke recently, and thought about it when I read that response)
That is great to read. Watching the Heart of Geauxld video, you see that CLM commands respect from his players and coaches. His public persona is goofy and clumsy, sometimes backed up in games (Ole Miss '09), but everyone who works for him seems to say great things about him. Some of the changes he has made on the coaching staff (hopefully enough on the offensive side), combined with the CUM resignation are making next year look brighter and brighter every day.
all well and good except when you look at 3 pass plays to set up a field goal, wasn't a fluke, it epitomized the play calling all season. It just all culminated at that one glaring bad moment. Until proven otherwise, I will contend those were Crowton's calls. fundementals did not call those plays, that was just poor decision making. Miles gets all the heat for clock management but had those plays gone right, this whole conversation would be much different. Miles would have never been in the police line up that he found himself in. One play can make or break a season and a career. 3-4 bad ones @ the wrong time, in a row can label a guy. Sad but true. It shouldnt but it does thats the way CF is these days.
