I was on vacation down in Florida, I remember a news flash, "Former Heisman Trophy winner arrested!" I told my wife, I don't know who it is, but I know its not Billy Cannon. When they came back from break, yep, I was shocked. So was the wife, he was her Orthodontist. In 1999 there was an awards banquet at Hooter's here in BTR, Cannon walked in saw my cousins and I sitting at a table, sat down and told stories for most of the night about his time playing in the Pros. The guy followed recruiting more than most I know.
I've only "met" the guy once, but he was really cool to talk with and signed pretty much anything shoved in his face. Got a nice mini helmet with his sig on it.
