Every situation is different. Some transgressions can be atoned for. Cannon served his time and came out the other end a better person, and has done nothing but good since then. Sandusky has committed atrocities that can't be paid back. Only God can truly forgive him, and I'm sure somebody will arrange the meeting soon.
Really? Me, I'll be celebrating when it happens. I'm probably in the minority (maybe not), but I truly believe deviants that prey on children, like Sandusky, deserve the death penalty. Those crimes are just as bad as murder; and in some cases, maybe even worse given what they went through when it happened, plus the emotional scars and pain these victims endure for years and years afterwards.
Yes, it was counterfeiting. I still remember the day the story broke; I think I was in 7th grade. It was a big, big deal in Baton Rouge.
