Well, as you can see, I still have Wannstash in my sig....and I implore anyone who hasn't seen this game to download it off the internet....I am sure it can be found somewhere. It's the biggest game in LSU history not involving LSU. Let's be plain about that. Based on it's paramount importance and the obvious huge upset that it was.
I don't know if there is a "Biggest Win" but there are a few in recent history that I can recall- -SEC Championship in 2001 was HUGE -NC/Sugar Bowl win over OU in '03 -2007 vs Florida; that game was HUGE and put us in the #1 spot -BCS Title game vs Ohio St- 2 Crystal Trophies And obviously, Pitt's win over WV. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I can think of many memorable games for LSU. In basketball, our 86 run through the championship finalized with a win over Walker and Kentucky to go to the final four. Our run 3 years ago was also great, especially with the win over Duke. And who could ever forget our game in 1990 vs Loyola Merrimount. ESPN still plays it on the classic channel. And didn't we win a game in 1979 or thereabouts vs number one Kentucky? In football, in addition to those listed above, there was the orange game vs Florida state when all the grocery stores in the city sold out of oranges. There was the earthquake game. There was Bert Jones win against Ole Miss with 2 plays in 4 secs at the end of the game. There was Cannon's run against Ole Miss. Many memories. In baseball, take any championship season in the 1990's to 2000 and then this past season with so many last inning heroics. It's great to be a Tiger.
