OFFENSE & PLAY CALLING First off I love Brad Wing, but I do not want see him punt 8 times a game, especially at home against Kentucky. After re-watching the Kentucky game I am very disturbed by what's going on up in that booth. Now I know that these guys are the professionals and know a hell of lot more than I do, but that doesn’t mean they don’t leave me scratching my head sometimes. We certainly did not look like the number ONE team in the country on Saturday. And as I expected the question marks surrounding LSU’s offense and why we are sitting on top the polls are pouring in Monday morning. Other Concerns Spencer Ware gets pulled due to a minor injury and instead of dishing tons of carries to your #2, you sit him and give his carries to the #3 & 4 Shepard can’t catch a cold, while OD is raking in everything thrown his way but we continue to target Shep. Shepard finally gets his number called on a WR sweep play, we pick up 13 yards and a first down and NEVER run the play again But at the same time, we are having ZERO success using Lee on a roll out (Not his strength) but continue to run that play??? We put in Jefferson and run right at UK 3 straight times, he is averaging 9 yards per carry, then on 3rd & 6 we pull him and bring Lee back in to throw the ball??? We have a legit opportunity to practice a 2 minute drill before the half, but show absolutely no confidence in our QB or offense, and pack in 3 runs that gain a whopping 5 yards and are happy taking a 14-0 lead into the half?? Offensive line looked pretty awful in the first half. WR’ have got to improve with these dropped passes! AND Most of ALL – LES MILES – PICK A QB! At this point, I don’t care who it is, just pick one. We will NEVER gel, NEVER establish a solid rhythm, and NEVER be a legit offensive threat with this BS 2 QB system. I love my Tigers and this football team, but we are going to struggle the rest of the way out if what we saw offensively on Saturday against UK continues on against Florida, Tenn. & Auburn.
+1 That was truly a disappointment. I DO NOT care for booing your own team, regardless of the situation. The only time I condone booing is when the zebras get it WRONG, and I mean a blatently obvious missed call. Shep has been pretty disappointing thus far, but I am going to hold off on judging until later in the season. I think he just needs to calm down and catch the ball. Worry about the YAC after the ball is secured. I still think he has big play potential.
