In other words, a whole lot of nothing. OL not a big concern heading into the 2011 season, regardless of how they performed in 1963.
I remember last year about this time people were worried about our defensive line. We had lost our two starting defensive tackles and our best linebacker. The "experts" (and I use that term loosely) were saying we were good on the edge but could we stop teams from running up the middle. Well, it turns out we could, as Alabama found out. With Brockers, Johnson, Ferguson, Downs, Logan and even a couple of others at DT, I think we'll be even stronger this year and very deep. I think we'll be fine at LB too. At linebacker Baker and Francois return with Minter probably in the middle. That's the 4-3, but opponents will see a lot of the 4-2-5 with Mathieu at nickelback acting like Troy Polomalo(sp). and even the 3-3-5 for certain opponents. Everybody's chiming in with their concerns and it sounds like we got problems everywhere. Not true. Make no mistake, this team is loaded!
I sure hope so as 1963 was not a year to remember... 1963 LSU Fighting Tigers Football rosters, game schedules, photos, articles, and videos | Fanbase
